Every Friday, we offer our signature blow outs from 2 PM to 7 PM. Get ready for the weekend with the best version of your hair! A Wash and Style at Dry Spell is not some fussy updo, and you won’t see any curling irons here. You also won’t choose a service off a menu. Instead, every Wash and Style is customized for your hair type. It's a more personal approach to a blow out, designed to bring out the best in your hair. Each Wash and Style includes a scalp massage, and we use Hairstory's innovative soap-free products to make it even more luxurious. $35, about 45 minutes. Save $5 when you purchase any Hairstory product at the time of your Wash and Style. Are you already a New Wash Club member? Bring in your empty New Wash refill bag to save $5 on your Dry Spell Wash and Style. (Limit one discount per service. Refill bags must be surrendered at time of discount.)
Dry Spell is available for hourly booth rental to hairstylists, makeup artists, and other beauty professionals who only need a workspace for a short time. It's perfect for parents who want to do a client or two while kids are in school, out-of-town stylists who want to do clients for a few days while they're in Salt Lake City, or service providers who only want to work for part of the month. You can rent for half a day in a 5-hour block, either 9am to 2pm or 3pm to 8pm. For a full day, you can book both blocks and receive the middle hour (2pm to 3pm) for free. Booth rent at Dry Spell includes one chair, use of a sink, towels and capes, Hairstory products for washing and styling, and beverages for your clients. You’ll need to bring your own tools and other work supplies. Before your first rental, you’ll need to meet with Steven for a quick orientation, so be sure to call, text, or email at least a week in advance.
Steven Petersen, owner of greenspace as well as Dry Spell, is currently seeing clients at Dry Spell. As a veteran hairdresser, Steven has extensive knowledge in cutting, coloring, and styling. He has spent a lot of time applying these skills by teaching other hairdressers, new and experienced. "Through teaching," he said, "I understand the 'why' behind what I do, and I love to share this with my clients." Because of this, Steven is known as the hairdresser to go to, to understand your own hair and how to work with, and not against, it. He prefers to work with the natural texture and shape of hair and bring out its best whenever possible. Steven is also the resident expert on Hairstory products; set up a consultation with him if you want to know anything and everything about them.
